Ms. Cruz’ experience is especially relevant and personal because Ms Cruz emigrated to the United States from Colombia and retains family ties there. This experience lends her valuable insight and understanding for the plight of the immigrant. She is a fluent native Spanish speaker and can easily dialogue with a client or their family residing overseas. Ms. Cruz’ ability to translate documents and legal concepts from Spanish to English have proven to be pivotal when interacting with CIS directly on clients’ behalf.
